I&E-E0132 - Interm/Senior Environmental Planner and Project Manager
Position Description
This position with Ecoplans Ltd. will provide you with the opportunity to participate in and manage multi-disciplinary projects in environmental planning and sustainable infrastructure. Business development, including proposal preparation and client development, as well as mentoring and directing staff on projects will be key responsibilities in this position.

We are looking for leaders who can advance their own career and the depth of professional services we provide. Experience in public consultation strategies, environmental impact assessment, sustainability, and/or infrastructure development will set you apart from your peer group.


Requirements

·       Strong working knowledge of multiple environmental assessment regimes (e.g., Individual Environmental Assessments, MTO Class Environmental Assessments, Municipal Class Environmental Assessments, Canadian Environmental Assessment Act EAs).

·       Understanding of the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act, Planning Act, and evolving trends in provincial policy, natural heritage preservation, and resource management are required.

·       Full member of the Canadian Institute of Planners.

·       Minimum of 5 to 10 years of progressive experience, preferably in a consulting environment or in a project management role in a public setting.

·       Project and business development experience will set you apart from your peer group.

·       Must have strong project management, report writing, and personal time management capabilities.

·       Must be a highly motivated, flexible, enthusiastic, team player committed to providing high quality service to our clients.

  • Must be willing to engage with your project teams, and be prepared to mentor and guide other staff.
