TRANS - MO374 Project Engineer or Technologist

Position Description

We are currently searching for an intermediate or senior Highway Design Engineer or Designer for MTO and other highway projects for our Ottawa office. The successful candidate will complete highway/freeway design projects, including preliminary and detailed design, contract specifications, tendering, contract administration support, and liaising with clients, agencies, contractors and other consultants.

Requirements

For Engineers, an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university and eligibility for professional licensing with PEO.
For Designers, a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from an accredited college and eligibility for registration with OACETT
A minimum of five years of relevant Ministry of Transportation, Ontario experience
Experience in all design aspects of rural two lane highway, rural freeway and urban multi-lane freeways in Ontario
Experience in transportation infrastructure construction
Strong communication and organization skills
Advanced computer skills with AutoCAD 2000, MS Excel, MS Word and MS Project
Experience using InRoads for the design of Transportation Infrastructure
French language skills are a definite asset
