Environmental Management Systems

Ecoplans is a recognized leader in Canada for developing Environmental Management Systems (EMSs) for public agencies and public-private partnerships. Most recently, Ecoplans was the lead author of the Environmental Management Systems User Guide For Transportation Practitioners for the Transportation Association of Canada (TAC).

Ecoplans has developed over 100 compliance-focused EMSs for various municipalities and provinces, to manage winter maintenance activities. These have ranged from "stand-alone" EMSs to those that are designed to integrate into the existing municipal EMSs (ISO 14001), or to be compatible with the existing water/wastewater EMSs.
